Bulgaria, Serbia to Ink a MoU on the construction of a Gas Interconnector

Bulgaria and Serbia's Energy Ministers are to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on the construction of a gas interconnector between the two countries. The construction should start no later than in May 2019 this way it could be operational by the end of 2020.

Daily (19.01.2017): Crude oil prices down on a stronger dollar and expectations that US producers would raise output

Oil prices decreased on Wednesday to their lowest level in a week, due to a strong dollar and prospects that U.S. producers would increase production, at the same time as OPEC's output was down from a record high. Brent has ended the session at $53.92 per barrel, down $1.55 or 2.79 percent, while U.S. crude settled at $51.08, down $1.40, or 2.67 percent. Before the settlement, both contracts dropped to their lowest level in a week.

Serbia: Additional biomass plants to be added to Boljevac pellet facility

The Serbian company Bioenergy Point will build a facility worth 2 million euros and a biomass power plant worth additional 7 million euros in addition to the existent pellet factory in Boljevac.
