Nordex presents 3MW turbine in India

Nordex unit Acciona Windpower is ready to present a new 3MW wind turbine for the Indian market.

The firm will unveil in New Delhi next week the AW125/3000 machine, with a rotor diameter of 125 meters and a hub height of 120 meters.
The wind turbines have the biggest capacity in the Indian market, as stated by the manufacturer.

They are produced at a facility in Chennai, while the concrete towers are manufactured in Karnataka.

Innogy enters Irish market, buys wind farm

The German company Innogy has purchased a wind farm in County Kerry, Ireland, thus entering the Irish market. The value of the acquisition of the Dromadda Beg wind farm has not been disclosed, but it is known that it will operate three wind turbines with a 10.2 MW capacity, which received planning approval in May 2014.

Oil prices decreased during the first half of Tuesday’s trading session as ample supply from OPEC and the U.S. combined with the signs of weaker demand in China encouraged investors to sell long positions bought in July during a period of rising prices. Meanwhile, a recent report of a dip in Libyan output and a surge in the U.S. dollar had supported Brent. Brent closed the session 7 cents higher at $50.80 a barrel, while WTI price fell by 0.08% to end at $47.55 a barrel.
