Enel Green Power, Nareva ink PPA for 270-MW wind project in Morocco
Moroccan electric and water utility ONEE has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with a consortium formed by Italy’s Enel Green Power and Moroccan energy company Nareva Holding related to the 270-MW Jbel Lahdid wind farm that the duo will build in the North African kingdom.

Areva-controlled conglomerate will pay $554 million to settle Finnish reactor row
France’s Areva and Germany’s Siemens will make a payment of 450 million euros (£400 million) for cost overruns and postponements at a nuclear reactor which they are constructing for Teollisuuden Voima (TVO) in Finland, settling a long-running dispute.

French and Swiss nuclear sites affected by quality assurance problems
France and Switzerland have been affected by quality assessment issues. EDF Group stated that Areva had found out that quality control deviations occur on specific rods, which meant the provider was incapable to demonstrate that quality control to prove that the leak tightness of those rods had been properly carried out.
