Daily (07.12.2017): WTI crude futures dipped by 2.9% on higher U.S. inventories of refined products

Oil prices slumped on Wednesday after an unexpected increase in U.S. inventories of refined products that suggested demand might be weakening. Brent crude futures were down $1.64, or 2.6%, at $61.22 a barrel, after reaching a session peak of $62.93. Meanwhile U.S. crude futures dropped $1.66, or 2.9%, to close at $55.96.

Russian Novatek and Japanese partner companies agreed on creating LNG hub

Russian company Novatek as well as Japan firms Marubeni and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines inked a trilateral memorandum of understanding (MOU) to open a liquefied natural gas (LNG) hub situated in Russia's Kamchatka region.

Daily (24.11.2017): UK spot gas prices hit a peak of almost 10 months on Thursday

Oil prices hit a two-year peak on Thursday as the shutdown of a major crude pipeline from Canada and a draw on fuel inventories pointed to a tightening market, despite increasing production from U.S. producers. Brent crude settled 23 cents, or 0.4%, higher at $63.55 per barrel. West Texas Intermediate crude was up 53 cents, or 0.9%, at $58.55 per barrel
