Austria Looks to Cut Its Dependence on Russian Natural Gas
Austria, one of the few EU countries still receiving Russian natural gas by pipeline, is looking to reduce its dependence on Moscow, including by seeking to end a long-term deal that Austria-based energy giant OMV has with Gazprom, Austrian Energy Minister Leonore Gewessler said on Monday.

Gazprom rejects Uniper's claims for billions in compensation over undelivered gas
The export arm of Russia's Gazprom (GAZP.MM) on Wednesday denied it was in breach of contract regarding gas supplies to Germany's Uniper (UN01.DE) , after Uniper launched arbitration proceedings in a bid to claim back billions of extra costs over undelivered gas supplies.

Bulgaria says talks to resume Russian gas supplies are 'inevitable'
Bulgaria's interim energy minister said it was "inevitable" that the Balkan country would discuss resuming gas deliveries with Russia's Gazprom that were halted in April, after the government promised to secure adequate supplies for the winter.
