Crude oil futures increased on Friday after dollar increase and on the news that Muammar Gaddafi has been wounded. U.S. crude for delivery in June traded at 99.65 dollars a barrel, up 68 cents, while ICE Brent for June delivery traded at 113.83 dollars, up 85 cents, after a trading range between 111.72 and 114.92 dollars.

Daily energy Overview, Friday, May, 13, 2011
U.S. and Brent crude oil futures traded higher on Thursday following a sharp plunge in the last session, on a weaker dollar. U.S. crude for June delivery traded at 98.97 dollars a barrel, up 76 cents, after trading from 95.25 to 100.49 dollars, while ICE Brent for June delivery traded at 112.98 dollars a barrel, after a trading range between 110.15 and 114.56 dollars.

U.S. oil futures continued to drop after the EIA data, trading at $100.61 a barrel, down $3.27, by 14:40 GMT. U.S. crude oil and gasoline stocks increased last week while stockpiles of the motor fuel increased for the first time over the last 12 weeks on lower demand versus last year, according to EIA weekly data released on Wednesday. Domestic crude stocks increased by 3.78 million barrel in the week to May 6 to 370.33 million barrel. Gasoline inventories increased 1.28 million barrels to 205.82 million barrels, while distillate stocks decreased by 843,000 barrels to 144.29 million barrels.

U.S. and Brent crude futures recovered for a second consecutive day on Tuesday after a sharp drop in the previous week supported by a surge in gasoline futures and strong trade data from China. U.S. crude for delivery in June was traded at 103.88 dollars a barrel, up 1.3 percent, after a trading range between 100.12 and 103.95 dollars. ICE Brent for June delivery valued 117.63 dollars a barrel, up 1.49 percent, after a trading range from 113.58 to 117.95 dollars.

Cheaper gas and electricity bills with British new tariff OnlineSaver 4
British Gas, the company which supplies gas and electricity to UK residential and business customers, has recently launched a new online energy tariff, called OnlineSaver 4, which guarantees a 4% discount compared to their standard tariff, until 31st October 2012.
