U.S. crude oil futures continued to drop on Tuesday following a stronger dollar from a three-year low against a basket of currencies. U.S. crude for delivery in June traded at 111.05 dollars a barrel, down 2.47 dollars after a trading range from 110.30 to 113.22 dollars, while ICE Brent crude for delivery in June traded at 122.45 dollars, down 2.67 dollars after a trading range from 121.75 to 125.02 dollars.

Crude oil futures traded lower on Monday in the wake of al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden death. U.S. crude for delivery in June settled at 113.52 dollars, down 41 cents, after a trading range between 110.82 and 114.83 dollars, while the ICE Brent crude for delivery in June traded at 125.12 dollars a barrel, down 77 cents after a trading range from 121.67 to 126.54 dollars.

U.S. crude futures increased on Wednesday after the Federal Reserve indicated that the U.S. central bank is in no hurry to tighten its monetary policy saying it will maintain extremely low U.S. interest rates. U.S. crude for delivery in June traded at 112.76 dollars a barrel, up 55 cents.
