This reaction adds complexity to the situation for the cartel, which is facing diminishing ammunition. Hence, Brent crude retreated by about 1%, settling at $78.03 per barrel, while WTI crude fell by over 1%, standing at $73.04 per barrel.

Mideast conflict dims prospect of more Egyptian LNG exports to Europe
