Norway proposes tariff cut in its gas pipeline system

Norway's Minister of Petroleum and Energy, Ola Borten Moe, proposed on Tuesday to slash natural gas transport tariffs for new gas contracts, aiming to encourage higher production and exploration in mature fields. Norway is the world`s second largest gas exporter supplying about 18% of Europe’s needs.

Italian Eni to sell 1.7 million tonnes of LNG to Japan and South Korea

The Italian oil and gas giant Eni has inked a three-party deal with Korea Gas Corporation and Japan's Chubu Electric Power Company envisaging selling 1.7 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Japan and South Korea between 2013 and 2017.

Gazprom to reduce natural gas prices for Europe in 2013
