Statoil and Wintershall sign a gas supply contract

Norwegian company Statoil, which states to be the second largest supplier of gas to Europe has signed a gas supply agreement with Germany’s Wintershall for the delivery of about 45 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas to the German and other North-West European markets.

Ukraine to import German gas from January 1

Energy and Coal Industry Minister of Ukraine, Yuriy Boyko announced on Friday that Ukraine will start to import natural gas from Germany from January 1, 2013. Germany's RWE would sell Ukraine gas and it would be shipped via pipelines through Hungary.

Bulgaria to sign a gas supply contract with Gazprom

According to Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller, the final investment decision on the construction of the underwater section of the South Stream gas pipeline is to be taken by the middle of November while the construction is to start at the beginning of December.

TNK-BP to be involved in $31 bln long-term gas deals

The shareholders of two generating companies controlled by billionaire Viktor Vekselberg's Integrated Energy Systems Holding (IES) - Volga TGK and TGK-9 are envisaging signing contracts in December with TNK-BP's SL Trading for gas supplies worth up to $31 billion in the period to 2030, according to statements from the power companies.
