Daily: UK natural gas prices climb amid Ukraine warning of "all types of transit" halting

Brent crude oil dropped toward $105 a barrel on Friday following the U.S. military air strikes in Iraq that may diminish the risk of oil supply disruptions from OPEC’s second largest producer, while U.S. crude gained support from reviving stock market. Brent crude rallied to a weekly high of $106.85 earlier in the session, but soon turned negative and settled 42 cents lower at $105.02 a barrel. U.S. crude boosted 31 cents to close at $97.65 a barrel, off an intraday high of $98.45.

Daily: UK gas prices increase on concerns about conflict intensification in Ukraine

Crude oil prices declined on Wednesday on ample supplies in the United States which dragged the U.S. contract to the lowest settlement in six months, while Brent prices plunged near nine-month lows. U.S. crude for September delivery dropped 46 cents to close at $96.92 a barrel, its weakest close since February 3. Brent crude oil fell by 2 cents settle at $104.59 a barrel, its lowest close since November 7.

Daily: European power prices increase on further sanctions concerns against Russia

Crude oil declined on Monday on signs of supplies surplus of North Sea and West African crude and as sluggish demand in Europe and Asia counterbalanced fears of intensifying tensions in Ukraine and in the Middle East. Brent crude for September delivery fell 82 cents to settle at $107.57 a barrel, after hitting a low of $107.01 earlier in the session. WTI crude futures for September delivery dropped 42 cents to settle at $101.67, rebounding from an intraday low of $100.90.

Daily: European coal prices increase on new wave of sanctions against Russia

Crude oil prices closed down after a nervous trading session on Tuesday as oil supplies remained untouched by continuing violence in Iraq, Ukraine and Gaza. Brent crude for September delivery dropped 35 cents to hit $107.33 a barrel, after having fluctuated between $107.20 and $108.40. U.S. oil for August delivery declined 17 cents to settle at $104.42 a barrel, down from a session high of $105.25.
