Norway expects to earn record $131 bln from oil and gas in 2023

The Norwegian government expects record income next year from its oil and gas industry, it said on Thursday, predicting a rise of 18% from this year's level and a fivefold increase over 2021 as production rises and prices soar.

Portugal ranked 4th for renewable energy in Europe

According to the most recent figures of the Portuguese Association for Renewable Energies (Apren), in the month of August, Portugal produced 46.8% of its electricity from renewable power sources, earning for itself a fifth place in Europe and forth, if the cumulative energy stock for 2022 is counted. Portugal, in 2022, was able to produce 54.6% of its energy from renewables. This result is lower than Norway, Austria and Denmark which reach respectively 99%, 80% and 77%.

Norway's power grid operator cuts its tariffs to zero to help consumers
