Consortium of Italian banks provide €995m for F2i to acquire 333MW portfolio from RTR

A consortium of banks has provided €995m to finance the acquisition by F2i of a 333MW portfolio of solar farms in Italy from RTR.

The banks included Banca IMI, Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, ING, BBVA, Societe Generale, BNP Paribas, UBI, Banco BPM and Cassa Depositi e Prestiti.

 

International law firm Ashurst advised the lenders. The Ashurst team was led by partner Carloandrea Meacci, supported by associates Nicola Toscana and Paolo Gallara and counsel Fabio Balza.

Oil prices added ground on Tuesday, bolstered by declining Venezuelan and Iranian exports and violence in Libya, which raised concerns over global crude supply. Meanwhile, expectations for higher U.S. inventories limited gains. Brent crude rose by 0.8% to $71.72 a barrel, while WTI Crude increased by 1% to $64.05 a barrel.

Mochovce 3 completes commissioning test

Slovakia's new reactor Mochovce 3 has successfully completed hot testing. Owner Slovenské Elektrárne (SE) said the plant could be ready for fuel loading this summer, although it will then have to wait for regulatory approval which could take up to eight months.
