EDF reported new faults on back-up generators at four of its 900 MW nuclear reactors earlier this month to French nuclear safety authority ASN, with repairs having been completed, it said on Tuesday.

The faults at Chinon 2, Cruas 1 and 4 and Gravelines 1 were reported mid-April as a “significant event” on the International Nuclear Event Scale (INES), the French utility added in a statement.

One year ago, the ASN asked EDF to check the seismic resistance of back-up generators at its 58 reactors.
