German power demand recovering in industrial centres – EQ

German power demand in industrial centres has returned to near normal levels this week after the easing of lockdown measures, Montel's Energy Quantified (EQ) on Tuesday.

The biggest recovery so far had been seen in the south and west of the country, according to data from the regional TSOs TransnetBW and Amprion, collated by EQ.

 

In the Amprion grid in the country’s west – where around one third of the nation’s industrial output is generated – consumption was 1,575 MW, or 7.6%, below the norm on Monday, compared to 2,143 MW lower last week.
