Spaniards seal 231MW local wind build

Spanish company GES is to build five wind farms totalling 231MW that comprise the Valdejalon cluster in Spain for Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners.

The projects, which are located in the region of Aragon, are the 49MW El Cabezo, the 45.6MW first phase and 38MW second stage of the Portillo 2, and the 49.4MW each Virgen de Rodanas 1 and 2 developments.

 

Construction is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2020.

 

CIP owns the projects through its fund Copenhagen Infrastructure III fund.

Crude oil prices traded lower on Friday, amid worries over global economic slowdown and thinner oil demand. WTI futures fell by 0.4% to $54.85 a barrel, while Brent crude edged 0.3% down at $60.22 a barrel, heading for the first weekly fall in three and five weeks respectively. Nevertheless, crude prices are expected to spike after a drone attack on two Saudi Aramco oil facilities on Saturday, which slashed by 50% Saudi Arabia’s oil output, or the equivalent of 5% in the global oil supply.
