A UK Green energy firm has decided to vend a 5MW solar park.

Eneco UK should acquire the Oaklands Solar Park from green supplier Good Energy for £5.78 million in cash at the beginning of 2017.

The deal comprises a possibility for Good Energy to purchase electricity from the solar farm, which produces sufficient power to supply 1,300 homes.

The sale is in accordance with Good Energy’s strategy of selling its sites to reinvest in new assets and the £390,000 in estimated earnings will be used to fund construction of extra solar capacity before the March 2017 deadline for renewable obligation support.
