Vestas turbines to power 164-MW Ukrainian wind farm

Denmark's Vestas Wind Systems A/S on Wednesday announced a contract to deliver and install turbines for a 164-MW wind project in southern Ukraine.

The order came from long-term customer Vindkraft Group and will see Vestas supply, install and commission 39 units of its V150-4.2 MW turbines. The machines will be installed at the Myrnenska wind project in Ukraine’s Kherson region.

 

Vestas expects shipments of the turbines to begin in the third quarter of this year.

 

The contract also includes a 20-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM5000) service agreement and the delivery of the Vestas Online Business SCADA solution.
