Repsol secures funding for 400 MW of wind and solar energy in Spain.

Spanish multi-energy company Repsol SA has secured EUR 348 million (USD 362 million) in long-term project financing for a portfolio of wind and solar assets in Spain, as reported by law firm Clifford Chance on Thursday.

Clifford Chance provided guidance to Repsol Renovables, the renewables division of the group, regarding the financing, which was arranged by a consortium of lenders and supports 400 MW of solar and wind assets that operate under both merchant and contracted arrangements.

The portfolio consists of solar and wind farms that are either operational or nearing the commencement of operations, according to a Bloomberg report that referenced a spokesperson for Repsol.

As of the end of the third quarter of this year, Repsol reported a total of 2,464 MW of installed wind and solar power generation capacity at its facilities globally. The oil and gas giant has aimed to achieve an installed renewable capacity of between 9 GW and 10 GW by 2027.
