European Energy has successfully connected a 54MW solar park to the grid in Poland.
The solar park, located near Debnica in West Pomerania, was completed on December 21.
In Poland, European Energy is leading the development of renewable energy with nearly 4GW of projects in the works, which include wind, solar, and battery technologies.
Furthermore, the company is progressing over 1.6GW of screening projects in the nation.
With the Debnica solar farm now operational, European Energy's total asset capacity in Poland has increased from 131MW to nearly 200MW.
"We are excited to have activated our largest solar project to date in Poland.
This achievement is the result of a tremendous effort from our entire Polish team and positions us as a significant contributor to Poland’s renewable energy landscape," said Olga Sypula, country manager for European Energy in Poland.
Funding for the Debnica solar park was finalized in August 2024, with Polish bank mBank providing €33.3 million for both the Debnica and Lobez solar parks, which are currently under construction by European Energy.
"Our engineering team has gained extensive experience through projects across Europe and beyond.
It is particularly gratifying to connect our largest solar park to the grid in Poland, and we appreciate the strong collaboration with local partners in the region," stated Poul Jacobsen, executive vice president and head of EPC at European Energy.
European Energy has been present in the Polish market since 2007, with offices located in Warsaw and Gdynia.
