Tion Renewables acquires a 26-MW solar power plant in eastern Germany.
Germany’s Tion Renewables AG announced today that it has acquired a 26-MW solar park domestically from the local developer Sunovis.

The financial details of the deal were not revealed, marking Tion’s 15th solar park acquisition in Germany. This follows its recent agreement to buy a 50-MW photovoltaic (PV) farm in Almeria, Spain from the Madrid-based renewables company X-Elio earlier in January.

The newly acquired solar park is situated in Klosterheide, eastern Germany, and has been producing electricity since 2024. Its annual generation is estimated to be around 26 GWh. The project has a 20-year feed-in tariff contract and a 10-year power purchase agreement (PPA) in place, which will extend until 2034.

"Our latest acquisition demonstrates that we do not pursue growth at any cost. Rather, we opt for the most intelligent offtake solutions available," stated Christoph Strasser, co-founder and Chief Investment Officer of Tion Renewables.
