Latvenergo and H2Pro to promote the commercialization of green hydrogen in Latvia.

Latvenergo, the national electricity company of Latvia, and H2Pro, an Israeli company specializing in green hydrogen production, have entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to investigate the possibility of implementing H2Pro's decoupled electrolysis technology in Latvia.

This MoU solidifies a shared commitment to leading in clean energy and underscores the significance of technological advancements in promoting the use of green hydrogen as a vital solution for industrial decarbonization and energy security.

In the initial phase of this agreement, Latvenergo and H2Pro will evaluate the feasibility of testing an electrolyser within the 5MW range in Latvenergo's energy infrastructure and identify potential avenues for commercial deployment in future initiatives.

The collaboration seeks to combine H2Pro’s technology with Latvia’s renewable resources, including wind and solar energy, ensuring the long-term economic viability of green hydrogen production.

H2Pro CEO Tzahi Rodrig commented: "Latvenergo offers an ideal setting to showcase the unique benefits of our technology.
