Eurowind powers 40 MW of solar parks in Portugal and Poland.

Danish renewable energy developer Eurowind Energy announced on Wednesday the successful commissioning of 23.4 MWp of solar parks in Portugal and the initial power generation from a photovoltaic (PV) farm in Poland.

Eurowind Energy's Portuguese division has linked two PV parks to the grid: the 9.3-MWp facility in Castelo Branco and the 14.1-MWp site at Quinta do Prazo in Covilha. Both projects are situated in Portugal's Centro region, as stated by the developer on Wednesday.

These PV plants consist of groups of smaller installations referred to as Small Production Units (UPPs). Their total yearly output is anticipated to meet the energy needs of about 10,820 households in central Portugal.

In Poland, Eurowind Energy has begun generating electricity from an 18-MW complex that includes the Batkowo I and II solar parks located in Inowroklaw, part of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship in north-central Poland. The project has obtained the necessary operational permit and successfully completed all required operational tests, according to the Danish company.
