Poland's R.Power has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for 357 GWh in Romania.

Polish renewable energy projects developer R.Power announced on Friday that it has entered into a power purchase agreement (PPA) with an undisclosed energy trading company in Romania, marking its first PPA in the country.
The agreement covers the period from 2026 to 2036 and entails the delivery of approximately 357 GWh of renewable energy from R.Power's solar projects in Romania throughout this timeframe, as stated by the company in a social media update.
The financial details of the agreement were not revealed.
"This Romanian PPA underscores our team's capability to implement our business model internationally. Romania is becoming a more significant market for us, and this partnership lays the groundwork for sustainable development in the region," said R.Power's chief commercial officer Rafal Hajduk.
R.Power Renewables is one of the largest players in the photovoltaic sector in Poland, with projects in Romania, Poland, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Germany.
In March of last year, the company announced it had secured over 200 MWp of solar projects with grid connections in Romania, along with an additional 1 GWp in its development pipeline.
In June, R.Power revealed it had signed its initial contracts for developing a portfolio of solar plants in Romania, although it did not provide further specifics. In August, the company announced a collaboration with Polish peer Nomad Electric and Romanian counterpart Waldevar Energy to develop a 23 MWp solar project in Romania.
