MORE, PPC ensures grid access for 882MW solar power initiative.

MORE and PPC Renewables have received final grid connection offers for eight new photovoltaic projects in northern Greece with a total capacity of 882MW.
The joint venture will establish six solar parks in Kozani, comprising 742.4MW, alongside a 92MW project in Kilkis and a 48MW facility in Serres.
These connection offers are a crucial step in the licensing process for the large-scale solar initiatives.
The electricity produced will be supplied to Greek industries through bilateral power purchase agreements and will assist farmers via the GAIA programme, which provides discounted electricity rates for agricultural use.
The Kozani projects are distinct from PPC’s current 2.1GW portfolio of solar projects on former lignite fields in Western Macedonia.
MORE and PPC Renewables already have 300MW of connected capacity, with another 311MW expected to receive grid offers soon.
MORE is focusing on a strategy centered on photovoltaics, wind, and energy storage, with a rapidly growing portfolio that positions it among Greece’s largest renewable energy producers.
PPC Renewables stated that the partnership aligns with its goal of developing 11.8GW of renewable capacity by 2027 across Greece and Southeastern Europe, through organic growth and collaborations.
The companies emphasized that their collaboration reflects a commitment to accelerating Greece’s energy transition and promoting sustainable development through increased investment in clean energy.
