The EU is investing €52 million in renewable energy projects in Finland and Estonia.

The European Commission has revealed the allocation of €52 million in funding through the EU Renewable Energy Financing Mechanism (RENEWFM) for nine renewable energy projects in Finland and Estonia.
These projects will collectively add a capacity of 445.65 MW and are anticipated to be operational between 2027 and 2028.
The chosen initiatives include seven solar projects in Finland, which will receive a total of €33.7 million in funding.
These projects are located in Tornio, Southern Ostrobothnia, Northern Savonia, and southeastern Finland.
Approximately €18 million will be allocated to support a hybrid solar-wind project and a standalone wind project in Estonia.
Established by the commission in 2020, the RENEWFM aims to enhance support for renewable energy projects and promote greater adoption of renewables throughout the EU.
