Enevo has reached an agreement to construct an 85-MW solar park in Romania for Unigea.

Enevo Group, an engineering and consulting services provider, has been contracted to build an 85-MW solar photovoltaic (PV) park in Romania for Unigea Solar Projects GmbH, based in Berlin.

The company announced the signing of the contract as general contractor during the Intersolar Europe event on Thursday. The Helios Arad PV park is set to be the largest east-west-oriented solar power facility in Eastern Europe.

The contract includes the construction of the PV farm, along with its operations and maintenance after completion. Situated on a former industrial site near the old CED Arad coal power plant, the PV arrays will span 68 hectares that were previously used for ash disposal from the coal plant. Unigea Solar Projects Romania obtained the PV project in its ready-to-build phase in early 2024, marking the company's first solar farm in Romania.
