ERG has begun operating an 18-MW wind farm in France.

Italian renewable energy company ERG SpA announced on Thursday that it has commenced operations at its 18-MW Picardie I wind farm in northern France, furthering its presence in one of its main markets.
The facility, situated in the Pas-de-Calais region, features five 3.6-MW Vestas V112 turbines and is projected to generate 48 GWh of electricity annually, sufficient to power approximately 15,000 households. The wind farm will receive income through a 20-year contract-for-difference (CfD).
“With the launch of the high-quality Picardie I wind farm, […] we are solidifying our foothold in France, the Group’s second main market,” stated ERG CEO Paolo Merli.
The company now has 733 MW of installed wind and solar capacity in the country.
