Marston's has obtained solar energy for 120 pubs throughout the UK.

British brewer and pub operator Marston's Plc announced that 120 of its local pubs in the UK will implement solar installations through a partnership with renewable energy provider Two Blues Solar and installer Nuvolt.
These solar systems are anticipated to generate around 30,000 kWh of clean electricity each year, fulfilling about 15% to 20% of each pub’s energy requirements, according to a press release.
The GBP 5.4 million (USD 7.22 million/EUR 6.41 million) investment is entirely funded by UK clean energy investor Atrato Onsite Energy and operates under a power purchase agreement (PPA). Marston's will purchase the energy for a 25-year term and will not own the installations.
The rollout began in January and will take place over the next 12 months, with completion expected by early 2026, supporting the British pub group's net-zero goals for 2040.
