Energiekontor has successfully secured financing for 40 MWp of solar projects in France.

German wind and solar developer-operator Energiekontor AG has finalized all necessary financing and is set to begin work on two solar projects in France with a total capacity of approximately 40 MWp.
These solar parks, marking the company's first projects in France, will be integrated into Energiekontor's portfolio upon becoming operational.
Rignac and Lachapelle-Auzac will be situated in the Occitania region of southeastern France. The company secured building permits in the first quarter of 2024. Last autumn, Energiekontor won bids in a French auction for ground-mounted solar power plants. The facilities will have their electricity tariffs guaranteed for 20 years, with annual adjustments for inflation.
"We have successfully developed a promising project pipeline in France, which we are continuously advancing," said CEO Peter Szabo. "Recently, we submitted building applications for an additional approximately 130 MWp in France, which are still under review," he noted.
