Enercity and Enercon finalize an €800 million wind energy agreement in Germany.

Enercity Erneuerbare has formed a strategic partnership with Enercon to supply, install, and service approximately 100 onshore wind turbines in Germany, in a deal valued at up to €800 million.
The agreement, signed by both companies based in Lower Saxony, lasts for two years with an extension option and follows a competitive tender by Enercity Erneuerbare.
The contract also includes optional infrastructure services and substation construction.
Ralf Nietiet and Daniel Müller, managing directors of Enercity Erneuerbare, noted that ambitious growth targets can be achieved more efficiently with strong partners.
They emphasized that this partnership with Enercon ensures access to high-quality technology within a set timeframe.
Benjamin Seifert, Enercon's regional head for central and northern Europe, remarked that the German wind market is gaining momentum, with an increase in the transfer of building permits to project implementation.
He highlighted that successful projects rely on early and agile collaboration, noting the constructive relationship during the agreement drafting and initial implementation steps.
More than 30 turbines are expected to be deployed this year under the agreement.
Aurélie Alemany, CEO of Enercity, stated that the deal will create value for both the energy transition and the North German economy, calling the partnership a positive signal for the German wind industry and regional economy, as wind energy generates added value, particularly at their production and wind sites.
