Solar Steel secures a 130MW supply agreement.

Gonvarri Solar Steel has agreed to provide Solarig with 130MW of solar trackers and fixed structures in Italy. The deal encompasses over 5,300 trackers and 530 fixed-tilt racks for three projects in the country.

Celebrating 15 years in the Italian market since 2010, Solar Steel's 1P trackers and fixed structures will support over 209,000 high-power modules, enhancing solar capture on Italy's uneven terrain. The company noted that the systems are customized for local land conditions to ensure effective energy generation and tracking performance.

Construction on the mixed solar parks, which will feature both fixed and tracking systems, is expected to start in the coming months, with commissioning anticipated in late 2025 and operations to begin in early 2026. Based in Spain, Solarig manages over 10GW of photovoltaic assets and has a project pipeline exceeding 20GW across 12 countries.
