Bulgaria's Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant has finished the scheduled maintenance on Unit 5.

Bulgaria's Kozloduy nuclear power plant announced on Thursday that it has finished the annual maintenance for its 1,000-MW Unit 5 and has reconnected it to the power grid after receiving approval from the Nuclear Regulatory Agency.
The planned repairs and technical maintenance of the systems and facilities have been completed as stated by the NPP. Safety enhancements and measures for stable operation were implemented on schedule. During the maintenance, the unit's reactor was equipped with new Robust Westinghouse Fuel Assemblies (RWFA) manufactured by Westinghouse Electric in the U.S. Unit 5 was taken offline for repairs on May 5. The plant also has another operational 1,000 MW reactor, Unit 6.
