Enviromena acquires a 30-MW solar project in the UK that has received full permits.

UK-based independent power producer Enviromena announced today that it has acquired a fully-consented 30-MW solar photovoltaic (PV) project in England from Luxembourg's RE Infrastructure. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
The Steeraway Solar Farm project involves building a PV park in Shropshire County, West Midlands, expected to generate electricity for over 15,000 homes each year. Planning approval was granted in May 2023, with construction set to begin later this year and grid connection anticipated by late 2026.
The project includes a 15-year Contract for Difference (CfD) obtained during the UK's Allocation Round 6 in 2024 and incorporates biodiversity measures to reduce environmental impact.
“This acquisition represents another significant milestone in our mission to deliver a large portfolio of ground-mounted solar in the UK,” stated Chris Marsh, CEO of Enviromena. This deal follows the approval for a 49.9-MW solar farm with a 25-MW battery energy storage system near Hartlepool in England, which was granted less than two months ago.
