Lhyfe secures EUR 2.5 million in crowdfunding for green hydrogen initiatives.

France's Lhyfe has secured EUR 2.5 million (USD 2.9m) through a crowdfunding campaign that attracted nearly 1,200 investors to support four green hydrogen production projects in France and Germany.
The Nantes-based developer claims this is the first crowdfunding effort in the green hydrogen sector. Public contributions ranged from EUR 300 to EUR 75,000 via the Lita.co platform.
In exchange for their investments, backers received bonds that offer fixed interest payments.
Lhyfe operates four sites in France and Germany, producing up to nine tonnes of green and renewable hydrogen daily using over 20 MW of electrolysers. Since its inception in 2017, the company has raised nearly EUR 184 million in equity for project development and construction, along with EUR 240 million in grants. This spring, Lhyfe secured EUR 149 million in government grants for a 100-MW green hydrogen plant near the Grand Canal du Havre in Normandy, one of its largest facilities to date.
