Germany approves 86MW of new wind power capacity.

Developers have confirmed that two wind energy projects in Germany, totaling over 86MW, have received approval.
The Ladenthin project in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania will install six V162 turbines with a combined capacity of 43.2MW, and there is the possibility of adding three more units. This project has been in development with Energie-Projekt-Nord since 2013 and gained approval after legal challenges. Construction is set to commence in the first quarter of 2027.
The Kerspleben repowering project in Thuringia will replace eight existing turbines with six new V172 turbines, each generating 7.2MW, also totaling 43.2MW. This project is being carried out in collaboration with Alterric.
According to the project partners, these approvals signify further progress in increasing wind energy capacity across Europe.
