Gresham reaches 1GW milestone for UK battery energy storage systems.

Gresham House Energy Storage Fund has achieved 1GW of operational battery energy storage capacity in the UK. This milestone follows the energization of the 87MW/174MWh West Bradford project, the second largest in the company's portfolio, which was connected yesterday. The 40MW/80MWh Shilton Lane site near Glasgow was energized in late July.

Gresham reported it has delivered 282MW and 770MWh of operational assets since the 2024 interim results, completing construction of its 1,072MW/1,701MWh portfolio. "We are delighted to have completed construction of the portfolio and passed the 1GW mark of operational capacity," said Ben Guest, fund manager of Gresham House Energy Storage Fund and managing director of Gresham House New Energy. "We now look to carry forward this momentum into the rest of the year and focus on building the next phase of augmentations and new pipeline projects," he added.
