GE Vernova will provide a 252MW wind farm in Romania.
GE Vernova has committed to supplying, installing, and commissioning 42 onshore wind turbines for Greenvolt International Power's Ialomita wind farm in Romania.

This project will utilize GE Vernova’s 6.1MW–158m turbines, achieving a total capacity of approximately 252MW, making it one of the largest wind farms in the country.

Deliveries are set to start in 2026, following the contract signing in the third quarter of 2025.

GE Vernova stated that the wind farm will produce enough electricity to power over 110,000 homes and businesses each year, aiding Romania’s renewable energy objectives for 2030.

Gilan Sabatier, chief commercial officer for GE Vernova’s onshore wind sector in international markets, noted that the agreement demonstrates Greenvolt's trust in the company’s teams and technology.

He further mentioned that the project highlights the effectiveness of GE Vernova’s core product strategy and its capacity to deliver value to customers in Romania and Europe.

GE Vernova's onshore wind division has around 57,000 turbines installed globally, amounting to nearly 120GW of total capacity.
