EDP Renewables inaugurates an 87-MWp solar power plant in Germany.

EDP Renewables, a division of Portuguese energy company EDP SA, has launched an 87-MWp solar power plant in Brandenburg, Germany, marking its inaugural renewable energy project in the country.
The Ketzin solar facility is expected to produce 91 GWh of clean energy each year, sufficient to power about 28,000 households. This output will contribute to a reduction of 75,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually, as stated by EDP Renewables on social media.
The company noted that Germany plays a crucial role in its growth strategy in Europe, with plans for over 3 GWp in development. These plans also include ventures into wind energy and battery storage.
"From solar to wind, from storage to smart integration, we’re committed to providing clean, affordable, and quickly deployable energy for Germany – and for Europe,” the company stated.
