Waldevar will construct a 200-MWp solar power plant for Romania's Entek Elektrik.
Romanian construction firm Waldevar Energy has entered into an agreement to set up a solar park with a capacity of at least 200 MWp in Romania for Entek Elektrik, which is part of the Turkish energy and infrastructure conglomerate Tupras.

Waldevar will serve as the comprehensive engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor for the project, managing all aspects of the site's design, construction, and installation. The company will also handle the plant’s operations and maintenance (O&M) for a period of two years.

The solar farm will be situated in Niculesti, located in Dambovita County, southern Romania, and its operation will support Entek Elektrik's objective to grow in the zero-carbon energy sector.

This EPC contract is the largest in Waldevar’s portfolio, which currently includes nearly 2.5 GW of contracted projects in Romania and Europe. Earlier in December, the Romanian firm was chosen by Israeli developer Doral Group Renewable Energy Resources for EPC services on 14 MWp of solar initiatives in Braila and Calarasi counties, Romania.
