Nordex secures 224MW in Germany.

The Nordex group has secured turbine orders from developer UKA for 33 units in Germany.
The company mentioned that these N175/6.X turbines, totaling 224.4MW, are part of an existing framework agreement and include 20-year premium service contracts.
It stated that the turbines will be installed across nine wind farms in areas such as Brandenburg, Thuringia, and North Rhine-Westphalia.
Construction and commissioning will start in 2027, depending on the project and site, with the turbines being placed on 179-meter hybrid towers.
“In a market environment that has become more challenging, we are making good progress with the realization of our project pipeline,” remarked Gernot Gauglitz, managing partner of the UKA group.
“The turbines we use are one of the factors contributing to the profitability of our projects,” Gauglitz noted.
“With this order, UKA has definitively secured an additional 224MW from our premium partner Nordex,” said Gauglitz.
“These latest orders further solidify the successful partnership between the Nordex Group and UKA,” commented Karsten Brüggemann, vice president region central of the Nordex group.
“We are delighted that UKA has once again selected our most powerful wind turbines from our range and is also opting for a tall hub height of 179 meters with the N175/6.X for these projects,” Brüggemann added.
