Berlin allocates 3.5GW in German wind auction.

Germany's Federal Network Agency (BNetzA) has granted support contracts for projects amounting to 3456MW of capacity in the latest EEG onshore wind tender.
The agency reported a record bid volume of 8155MW from 905 submissions for the tender, which had a deadline of November 1, 2025.
It noted that 415 bids were successful, with an average volume-weighted price of 6.06ct/kWh, lower than the previous round's 6.57ct/kWh and well under the maximum limit of 7.35ct/kWh.
The lowest successful bid was 5.80ct/kWh, while the highest was 6.12ct/kWh.
Klaus Müller, President of BNetzA, stated, “The bid volume exceeding 8GW marks the highest recorded in a tender.”
He added, “Throughout 2025, it is encouraging to see that every tender was significantly oversubscribed, and winning bids have continued to decrease from the last round.”
BNetzA indicated that the majority of contracts were awarded to projects in North Rhine-Westphalia (1,093MW), followed closely by Lower Saxony (1,091MW) and Brandenburg (262MW).
