German renewable energy developer VSB Group announced on Thursday the start of operations at a 12.8-MW wind farm in central France and significant advancements at the 303-MWp Brzezinka solar project in Poland.
The new wind farm, named Eoliennes de Bosjean, is situated in the municipality of Saint-Suplice, in the Puy-de-Dome department, featuring six Vestas V110 turbines. VSB anticipates that the facility will produce approximately 24 GWh of electricity each year, enough to supply power to more than 12,000 residents.
VSB France developed and constructed the wind farm with assistance from local contractors. The company is now responsible for its technical and administrative management.
CIC Corporate & Institutional Banking financed the Eoliennes de Bosjean project, marking VSB's second operational wind farm in Puy-de-Dome, following the earlier launch of Eoliennes de Tortebesse this year.
In Poland, VSB is currently installing mounting systems for the Brzezinka project, which is expected to become one of the largest solar farms in the country.
The company is awaiting the arrival of all essential components to proceed with the next construction phase.
The facility will span the municipalities of Olesnica, Brzezinka, and Sycow. It will include a 106-MW battery energy storage system (BESS) and will be followed by a 245-MW wind farm, as previously announced.
Commissioning of the Brzezinka project is scheduled for 2027.
