French renewable energy producer UNITe has launched a 33.3-MWac/36.6-MWdc solar park in France, marking the largest photovoltaic (PV) farm in its collection.
The mechanical, electrical, and regulatory aspects of the project were finalized ahead of schedule, with capacity installation occurring two months early, according to the company on Monday.
The La Selle-en-Hermoy solar park covers 28 hectares and features 59,121 PV panels, with an expected annual output surpassing 40,000 MWh. In addition to generating electricity, the site will also be utilized for livestock farming.
The project benefits from tariffs obtained through a tender process organized by the French Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE). The energy infrastructure firm Omexom, part of VINCI Energies, acted as the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor.
Based in Lyon, UNITe specializes in generating power from hydro, wind, and solar energy sources. The company is supported by the French private equity firm Ardian, which acquired stakes from previous investors such as Omnes Capital, Societe Generale Capital Partenaires, and Bpifrance in 2024.
