Britain's finance minister, Rachel Reeves, is set to announce reforms that will allow parliament to authorize essential energy and infrastructure projects, while also providing better protection against judicial reviews, according to a statement from the Treasury on Wednesday.
"A Treasury representative stated that for too long, the delivery of crucial infrastructure has faced delays due to judicial reviews of projects."
"Reeves is determined that parliament needs to regain control to enable the construction of power plants, wind farms, and grid connections, which will lower costs, enhance energy security, and promote growth throughout the country."
