The Spanish energy company Ignis has obtained a green loan to construct and manage a 50-MW solar farm in Palencia province, northern Spain, according to a LinkedIn post from its lender.
CaixaBank Corporate & Investment Banking announced that it acted as the mandated lead arranger, bookrunner, green loan coordinator, issuing bank, and financing entity for the EUR 30.3 million (USD 34.6 million) project financing.
The solar project is situated in the municipalities of Paredes de Nava and Becerril de Campos, although the post did not provide additional details.
This financing follows Ignis's recent agreement to supply grid access, electrical infrastructure, and solar energy for a proposed hyperscale campus in Madrid. The company states on its website that it has 9 GW of renewable energy projects ready for construction and over 1 GW of generation plants currently operational or under development.
