Enfinity Global and E Energy Invest, the investment branch of the Strioga Family Foundation, have established a co-investment agreement for a 150MW battery energy storage system (BESS) project located in Livorno, Tuscany, Italy.
According to the deal, the Strioga Family Foundation will purchase a 49.9% equity stake in the fully authorized BESS, while Enfinity Global will maintain a 50.1% controlling interest.
Enfinity Global will be in charge of finishing the remaining development and construction tasks for the project.
The company will also take on the role of long-term asset manager once the project is completed.
The facility is designed with a four-hour storage duration and offers a total storage capacity of 600MW-hours (MWh).
This project is part of Enfinity Global’s overall 6.7GW battery energy storage portfolio in Italy.
Enfinity Global CEO Carlos Domenech stated: “We are delighted to welcome Strioga Family Foundation as a strategic partner in this initiative.
“This collaboration showcases Enfinity Global’s capability to link long-term capital with the energy transition that Europe requires, utilizing its integrated energy platform to implement essential storage infrastructure.”
The company noted that these projects aim to enhance grid flexibility and facilitate increased integration of renewable energy sources across the country.
Its integrated solar and storage platform in Italy encompasses over 1GW of signed power purchase agreements, energy contracts under the Energy Release 2.0 program, and capacity secured in FER X auctions.
Recently, Enfinity Global has attracted other equity partners to its Italian platform, including the sovereign wealth fund of Azerbaijan and additional undisclosed entities, for assets totaling over 1.1GW in the past year.
Through this transaction, the Strioga Family Foundation has entered the Italian energy sector.
Strioga Family Foundation CEO Gediminas Uloza commented: “We have been actively seeking partnerships with Europe’s top renewable energy platforms, and we are very pleased to collaborate with the Italian market expert Enfinity Global on this BESS project.”
Enfinity Global was advised by Advant NCTM for this deal, while the Strioga Family Foundation received guidance from Green Horse and Natural Power.
In October 2025, Enfinity Global finalized an equity and development agreement with a European investor to complete a 486MW BESS in Italy.
