Storengy and PRISMA collaborate to link LNG imports with storage.
Germany's gas storage levels are notably lower than normal this summer, currently around 40%. This situation raises significant concerns about supply security, making the effective integration of increasing LNG volumes essential and emphasizing the need for flexible storage capacity. In response, Storengy Deutschland is introducing an industry-first initiative by providing storage products specifically designed for LNG importers through the PRISMA platform. This allows LNG importers to access storage capacity directly from a well-established marketplace, ensuring a simple and transparent process in one location.

Storengy Deutschland is launching a tailored storage product on the PRISMA platform, focused on accommodating incoming LNG capacities. Customers who reserve regasification capacity can now easily secure the appropriate storage capacity simultaneously. This initiative targets LNG importers and shippers who aim to enhance the efficiency of their supply chain management.

The product includes a comprehensive package comprising injection, storage, and withdrawal capacity. Detailed product information and related sheets will be made available soon on PRISMA and the Storengy Storage Portal.

“With our new offering, we are establishing a direct link between LNG import and storage on a single platform for the first time. Our customers will benefit from improved planning security, increased flexibility, and significantly easier access to our capacities,” stated Gregor Wenzel, Head of Sales and Commercial Operations at Storengy Deutschland. “In the context of LNG, efficiently integrating import flows into the market is crucial, and that is precisely what we are addressing.”

Götz Lincke, Managing Director of PRISMA, commented: “The security of supply in Germany fundamentally relies on having storage capacity available quickly and without unnecessary complications – and that is what we are achieving in collaboration with Storengy. The process from LNG import to storage has just become significantly more efficient.”
