Montenegro's EPCG to invest 700 mln euro in renewable energy projects by 2022
Montenegro's majority state-owned power utility company EPCG plans to invest a total of 700 million euro ($779.9 million) in the construction of renewable energy facilities with a total capacity of 500 MW by 2022, development and engineering director Ivan Mrvaljevic said.

Crude oil prices traded lower on Monday, as the U.S. commerce secretary said that an initial China-U.S. trade deal does not need to be finalized next month, stoking concerns over global economic growth. Reports showing that Russia oil output surpassed OPEC+ quota also weighed on prices. However, slighlty higher European shares due to a potential optimistic Brexit deal limited losses. Hence, WTI futures fell by 0.9% to $53.31 a barrel, while Brent crude edged 0.8% down at $58.96 a barrel.

Russia starts pumping gas into Turkish Stream pipeline
Gazprom has started filling the 1st leg of the offshore section of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline with gas, the project operator announced on October 18. This is the final stage of testing the pipeline before putting it into operation later this year, South Stream Transport said. It noted that the 1st deliveries are scheduled for the end of 2019.

Vattenfall, Wallenstam put down 300-MW wind project off Sweden
Swedish state-owned utility Vattenfall AB and its partner Wallenstam have scrapped plans to jointly build a 300-MW offshore wind park in Swedish waters after the country’s Armed Forces turned down a revised plan for it.
