Cavendish Nuclear has been awarded a three-year, multi-million pound contract to dismantle and demolish the oldest reactor on the Dounreay site in Scotland, the Dounreay Materials Test Reactor (DMTR). The award of the contract followed a competitive tendering exercise.

Transgaz gets EUR 50 million EIB loan to build a new pipeline for Black Sea gas

The European Investment Bank (EIB) will award EUR 50 million to finance a new pipeline to connect Romania’s natural gas resources in the Black Sea shore with the national gas transport network as well as the BRUA corridor, according to a statement by the Economy Ministry.

Daily (17.12.2018): EUA’s hiked by 4.6% on Friday, or around 15% increase week-on-week.

Oil prices shed on Friday, after data indicated a lower-than-forecasted demand for crude in China and weaker stock markets. Brent crude lost 1.9% to $60.28 a barrel. Meanwhile, WTI crude tumbled by 2.6% to $51.20 a barrel.

Renewable power share in Germany rises to record level in 2018

Renewable energy sources are set to contribute about 38 percent to Germany’s gross power consumption in 2018, a two-point increase over the previous year and a new record for the country’s energy transition, the Energiewende, the German Association of Energy and Water Industries (BDEW) said in a press release.
